Seychelles Clownfish
Amphiprion fuscocaudatus
Also known as seychelles anemonefish, seychelles clownfish, aldabra clownfish, mauritian anemonefish, セイシェルクマノミ, 塞舌尔小丑鱼

A large, dark brown clownfish with two or three white bars and a tail that is dusky with a pale edge, often with yellowish tones on the snout and fins. It is kept by reef keepers who want a less common clownfish, and it is mostly hosted by the giant carpet anemone in the wild.

Breeding
Pairs lay eggs on hard surfaces near their anemone, and the male guards them until they hatch after about a week. Captive breeding happens only rarely because few specimens reach the trade, but the larvae can be reared on rotifers in the same way as other clownfish.
Good to know
It is rare and costly in the trade, and adults can become territorial and aggressive towards other clownfish. It is easily confused with Clark's clownfish (A. clarkii), which usually has a lighter tail.
