Breeding
Like other clownfish it is a protandrous hermaphrodite that lays eggs on a hard surface near its anemone, with the male guarding them. Captive breeding is possible but rarely done, and larvae need rotifers then baby brine shrimp.
Good to know
Grows large and can be territorial towards other clownfish and tankmates. In the wild it hosts bubble-tip and leathery sea anemones, and wild exports are scarce so specimens are expensive.
