Breeding
Pairs lay eggs on a flat surface near their anemone and the male guards them until they hatch after about a week. Captive breeding is well established, though rearing the larvae needs rotifers and fine live foods.
Good to know
It is more delicate than common clownfish and does best with gentle tankmates; in the wild it pairs with Heteractis magnifica and similar anemones, which are hard to keep. Do not mix it with other clownfish species in small tanks, and choose captive-bred fish where possible.
