Green Wrasse
Halichoeres solorensis
Also known as solor wrasse, green bird wrasse, solar wrasse, green halichoeres, sea green wrasse, ソロルベラ, ikan keling, 索洛尔海猪鱼, 绿海猪鱼

A slim, active wrasse. Males are bright green to blue-green with pink or orange lines on the head and a dark spot behind the eye, while females and juveniles are duller and more mottled. Keepers like it for its colour and because it hunts pests such as flatworms and small bristleworms.

Breeding
It spawns in pairs or groups, and fish can change sex from female to male. The eggs drift in open water, and the larvae are hard to raise, so it is rarely bred in captivity.
Good to know
It needs a deep sand bed to bury itself in at night and a tight lid because it jumps. Larger fish may eat small shrimp, snails and other invertebrates, so it is not fully reef safe.
