Breeding
It gives birth to live young after internal fertilisation, with broods every four weeks or so. Breeding is straightforward in a planted tank with hard, alkaline water, and adults seldom eat their fry if they are well fed.
Good to know
It is rare in the wild and mostly passed between hobbyists, so keep it pure and do not cross it with other Limia species. Females can be confused with related limias.
