Breeding
It scatters pelagic eggs in open water and has not been bred in home aquariums. All specimens in the trade are wild caught.
Good to know
It grows to around 40 to 50 cm and will eat any fish or crustacean small enough to swallow, so it is not reef safe for shrimps or small fish. Juveniles are often sold small without warning about the adult size.
