Breeding
Little is known about breeding in captivity. It is thought to scatter eggs over gravel without parental care, and spawnings in home tanks are rare and mostly accidental.
Good to know
Needs clean, cool, fast-flowing water with plenty of oxygen and does poorly in warm, stagnant tanks. It can be confused with other banded Physoschistura and Schistura species sold under loose trade names.
