Mangrove Molly
Poecilia orri
Also known as mangrove molly, orr's molly, roatan molly, poecilia orri

A small wild molly from coastal mangroves and lagoons, silvery with rows of small dark or orange spots and a modest dorsal fin. Keepers of wild-type livebearers value it for its natural look, active grazing behaviour and its role in conserving pure regional populations.

Breeding
A livebearer that gives birth to small batches of fully formed young after internal fertilisation, and breeds readily in hard or slightly brackish water. Adults may eat fry, so dense plants or a separate rearing tank improve survival.
Good to know
It does best in hard, alkaline water with some added salt and may struggle in soft fresh water. It is often kept as part of the Poecilia mexicana or sphenops group, so keep collection localities separate and don't cross it with other mollies.
