Breeding
Captive breeding is rarely reported and little is known; most fish in the trade are wild caught. Related Synodontis are egg scatterers that have occasionally been spawned with hormone treatment.
Good to know
Grows fairly large and can be territorial towards other bottom dwellers, and will eat very small fish. Supply plenty of caves and avoid sharp substrates that harm the barbels.
