A tiny, see-through glassfish from soft, acidic forest streams and peat swamps. Males grow long trailing rays on their dorsal and anal fins and pick up a bluish sheen, so a well-kept group looks striking in a quiet planted tank.

Breeding
It scatters eggs among fine plants and males display strongly to each other. Spawning has happened in soft, acidic water, but the fry are very small and need infusoria, so raising them is hard.
Good to know
Wild-caught fish are delicate, often refuse dry food and do poorly in hard water, so keep them with small, calm tankmates only. Do not confuse it with dyed or injected glassfish such as Parambassis ranga.
