A tiny, partly see-through bagrid catfish with a yellowish tint and long barbels, which spends much of its time hovering in mid-water rather than on the bottom. It comes from soft, acidic, tannin-stained forest streams and peat swamps and suits a quiet blackwater nano tank with gentle tankmates.

Breeding
Has been spawned occasionally in soft, acidic water, with small eggs scattered among plants or leaf litter. Captive breeding is uncommon and fry need very fine live foods.
Good to know
Shy and easily outcompeted, so avoid boisterous or large tankmates that could eat it. Needs clean, soft, acidic water and is sensitive to poor water quality.
