Breeding
Males guard eggs laid inside a cave or crevice and fan them until they hatch. It has been bred in aquariums but this is not common and needs soft, warm, well oxygenated water and suitable caves.
Good to know
Males can squabble over caves, so give each fish its own shelter. It is often confused with other spotted Peckoltia and L-numbers, and it needs some meaty food, not just algae.
