Breeding
Females lay their eggs in crevices, such as cracks in wood or rock or the gaps in spawning mops, and the eggs hatch in about two to three weeks. It breeds fairly readily in a soft, well-oxygenated tank, although rearing the small fry takes some care.
Good to know
Needs clean, well-oxygenated water with some current and is sensitive to poor water quality. Keep a tight lid on the tank because it can jump, and do not house it with large or boisterous fish.
