One of the smallest blue-eyes, this is a slim, semi-translucent fish with a pale bluish eye ring and faint yellowish fins, more understated than its relatives. Keepers of nano tanks and species biotopes like it for its tiny size, calm shoaling and lively displays among males.

Breeding
It scatters eggs over fine-leaved plants or spawning mops across several days, and the eggs hatch in roughly two weeks. Breeding is fairly straightforward if eggs are moved away from adults, but the very small fry need infusoria or other microscopic first foods.
Good to know
Rarely available and short lived, so keep a breeding group going to maintain stock. Too small and timid for tanks with larger or boisterous fish.
