Breeding
An egg scatterer that spawns among plants and gives no parental care, readily eating its own eggs. Spawning is possible in a separate tank with fine-leaved plants or mesh, removing the adults afterwards, but it is rarely done deliberately.
Good to know
Grows larger than many expect, around 10 to 12 cm, so it needs a long tank and a tight lid as it can jump. Often confused with Rasbora borapetensis and other similar red-tailed rasboras.
