Hog-nosed Brochis
Brochis multiradiatus
Also known as hog-nosed brochis, hognose brochis, long-finned brochis, sailfin cory, brochis multiradiatus, corydoras multiradiatus, emerald brochis long fin, giant sailfin corydoras, ブロキス・ムルチラディアートゥス, 长鳍翡翠鼠, 猪鼻翡翠鼠

This is a large, deep-bodied armoured catfish with a metallic green to bronze sheen, a long pointed snout and an unusually long dorsal fin with 17 or more rays. Keepers prize it as a peaceful, sociable bottom dweller that is bigger and rarer than the common corydoras.

Breeding
It scatters adhesive eggs on surfaces in the typical corydoras T-position after a cool water change, but spawnings in aquaria are rare and most fish in the trade are wild caught.
Good to know
Formerly placed in Corydoras, it is easily confused with the shorter-finned Brochis splendens and Brochis britskii, so count dorsal rays and check the snout shape. Give it soft sand and clean, well-oxygenated water as its barbels are easily damaged.
