Breeding
It lays adhesive eggs on glass and plants after the typical corydoras T-position courtship, often triggered by cooler water changes. Spawning is occasional in captivity and moderately hard, with eggs and fry best raised apart from the adults.
Good to know
Often confused with similar spotted species such as Corydoras ambiacus and Corydoras leopardus, so trade fish may be mislabelled. Use soft sand or smooth gravel to protect the barbels.
