Breeding
It lays sticky eggs on glass, plants or decor after the typical Corydoras T-position courtship, often set off by a cool water change. It is bred in captivity but less often than common species, and the eggs and fry are best raised apart from the adults.
Good to know
Use soft sand or smooth fine gravel to protect the sensitive barbels, and keep the water clean. It is easily confused with similar striped species such as Corydoras loxozonus and C. habrosus in the trade.
