Breeding
Like other Devario it scatters eggs over plants or gravel and gives no parental care. Spawning should be possible in a separate tank with fine-leaved plants or mesh to protect the eggs, though captive breeding of this rarely traded species is poorly documented.
Good to know
Rarely seen in the trade and easily confused with other striped Devario species, so check identity when buying. It is a strong jumper and needs a tight-fitting lid.
