Kyathit Danio
Devario interruptus
Also known as kyathit danio, kyathit devario, interrupted danio, interruptus danio, danio interruptus, burmese danio

This is a slim, fast danio with a silvery body crossed by broken blue lines and bars, often with a yellowish or orange tint on the fins. Keepers like it for its constant activity and hardiness, and a well-fed shoal shows good colour in an open, well-lit tank with a current.

Breeding
It scatters eggs over plants or gravel and gives no parental care, so the adults will eat any eggs they find. Breeding is fairly easy in a separate tank with fine-leaved plants or mesh over the base, and the fry can be raised on infusoria and then baby brine shrimp.
Good to know
It is a strong jumper, so use a tight-fitting lid, and it needs plenty of swimming space. It is often confused with other Devario species and with Danio kyathit, which has a similar name.
