Breeding
An egg scatterer that spawns among plants or over gravel, giving no parental care. Breeding is fairly easy in a separate tank with mesh or fine-leaved plants, removing the adults after spawning so the eggs are not eaten.
Good to know
Very active and an able jumper, so use a tight-fitting lid and plenty of open swimming space. It may nip the fins of slow, long-finned tankmates if kept in too small a group.
