Breeding
Captive breeding has not been documented. Like other garras, it probably scatters eggs over gravel in flowing water and gives no parental care.
Good to know
It is listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN and is very rarely exported, so fish sold under this name may be other Garra species. The care figures are estimates based on related hill stream garras. It needs strong flow and high oxygen levels, and it may jump out of an uncovered tank.
