Breeding
Pairs scatter a few eggs daily over fine plants or spawning mops across several weeks, and the eggs hatch in about two weeks. Breeding is fairly easy, but the adults eat eggs and fry, so eggs or fry should be moved to a separate tank and fed infusoria then baby brine shrimp.
Good to know
Very small and short lived, so keep only with tiny peaceful tankmates and avoid fish that could eat it. Wild stock is limited, so most fish in the trade are captive bred.
