Breeding
An egg scatterer that gives no parental care and will eat its own eggs. Spawning can happen in mature planted tanks, but raising many fry usually needs a separate soft, acidic breeding tank with fine-leaved plants or mesh.
Good to know
It is often confused with similar striped rasboras such as Rasbora cephalotaenia and Rasbora dorsiocellata. Keep it in a proper group, as single fish become shy and stressed.
