Breeding
Captive breeding is rarely reported and most fish in the trade are wild caught. Like other Synodontis it is thought to scatter eggs without parental care.
Good to know
Can be territorial towards other bottom dwellers and will eat very small fish at night; provide caves for each catfish. Strong fin spines can snag nets, so move it with a container.
