Pale-finned Betta
Betta pallifina
Also known as pallifina betta, pale finned betta, betta pallifina, wild betta pallifina, ベタ・パリフィナ, cupang pallifina, 淡鳍斗鱼

Betta pallifina is a large wild betta from the Betta unimaculata group, with a long brownish body, red flushes on the gill covers and green to blue iridescent scales on the flanks of mature males. Fins are fairly pale, giving the species its name. It suits keepers of wild bettas who want a sturdy, characterful fish for a dim, planted forest stream tank.

Breeding
It is a paternal mouthbrooder: the male carries the eggs and fry in his mouth for around two weeks after spawning. Breeding is quite achievable in a quiet, well covered tank with soft, slightly acidic water.
Good to know
Males can be quarrelsome with each other and like all bettas it is an expert jumper, so a tight lid is essential. It is easily confused with Betta unimaculata and other relatives, so buy from sellers who give collection locality.
