Breeding
An egg scatterer that spawns among fine-leaved plants or moss with no parental care, and adults will eat eggs. Breeding is achievable in a mature, densely planted tank where some fry survive, but rearing needs infusoria-sized first foods.
Good to know
Its tiny size means it must only be kept with very small, peaceful tankmates and fed suitably small food. Imports are irregular and it is sometimes confused with Boraras urophthalmoides or other dwarf rasboras.
