A small, pale cory with rows of dark spots along the flanks, a dark mark at the base of the dorsal fin and a pinkish sheen. It is peaceful, active and stays small, so it suits community tanks with soft sand where a group can forage together.

Breeding
It spawns in the typical cory way, with the female carrying eggs clasped between her pelvic fins and sticking them to glass or plants. Spawning is often triggered by a cooler water change, and it is considered moderately easy in captivity.
Good to know
Needs fine sand or smooth gravel to protect its barbels. Often confused with similar spotted species such as Corydoras gossei relatives, so check identification when buying.
