A fairly large, long-snouted cory with a pale silvery body covered in small dark spots and a dark band running through the eye and over the back. It is kept for its active, sociable bottom-dwelling behaviour and its tolerance of slightly cooler water than many tropical fish.

Breeding
Spawns in the typical cory T-position, with females sticking eggs to glass and plants, often after a cool water change. It has been bred in captivity but less often than common species, and parents will eat eggs if left with them.
Good to know
Needs soft sand and clean, well-oxygenated water to protect its barbels; it can be confused with similar spotted long-snout corys sold under C numbers.
