Kane's Cory
Hoplisoma kanei
Also known as kane's corydoras, kanei cory, corydoras kanei, hoplisoma kanei, kane cory, コリドラス・カネイ, 凯恩鼠鱼
Kane's Cory is a small armoured catfish from Peru with a pale silvery body covered in fine dark spots and a dark marking through the dorsal fin. It is kept for its peaceful, busy nature as it sifts the substrate in groups, making it a good fit for community tanks with calm, small tankmates.

Breeding
It breeds like other Corydoras, with the female carrying eggs in her pelvic fins and sticking them to glass or plants after a T-position embrace. Spawning is often triggered by a large cool water change, and it is described as achievable but less often bred than common species.
Good to know
Recently moved from Corydoras to Hoplisoma, so it is sold under both names and can be confused with similar spotted species such as C. trilineatus look-alikes. Use soft sand or smooth gravel to protect the sensitive barbels.
